World of Events

Terms of Service

Effective date: June 1, 2026

World of Events helps you discover what's happening across New York City. These terms explain the rules for using the app and website, and the limits of what we can promise about events we didn't create

1. The Short version

World of Events is a discovery platform. We gather and display events from many sources so you can find them in one place — but we don't run those events or sell their tickets. Always confirm the details with the organizer before you go or buy.World of Events is an event-discovery platform. We aggregate and display information about events happening in New York City — including from ticketing partners, public data sources, venues, and event submissions — so you can find and explore them on a single map. We are not the organizer, promoter, host, or ticket seller for the events we list, unless we clearly state otherwise.

2. No account required

You can browse, search, and save events without creating an account. The Service is free to use for discovering events.

3. Accuracy of event information

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure. Please let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We work to keep event listings useful and current, but because the information comes from third parties and public sources, we can't guarantee that any event's details are accurate, complete, or up to date. Dates, times, prices, availability, locations, and cancellations can change without notice. Before attending or purchasing anything, confirm the details directly with the organizer or ticket seller. We are not responsible for events that are changed, sold out, cancelled, or misdescribed by their organizers.

4. Tickets and third-party sites

When you tap to buy tickets or get more information, you leave the Service and go to a third-party website (such as an organizer or ticket seller). Those transactions are between you and that third party, governed by their terms and policies. We don't process those ticket sales and aren't responsible for them.

5. Submitting an event

If you submit an event to be listed, you confirm that:The information you provide is accurate and you have the right to share it.
You have the necessary rights to any images you submit.
You hold any permits or permissions the event requires.
We review submissions and may list, decline, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion. Submitting an event does not guarantee it will be published.

6. Paid listings

Some listing options — such as promoting or featuring an event — carry a fee. These fees are paid by organizers through a secure checkout provided by Stripe on the web. Paid placement affects how or where a listing appears, but does not change our obligation to present events honestly. Fees are for the listing service itself and, except where required by law, are non-refundable once a listing is published.

7. Acceptable use and prohibited content

When using the Service, you agree not to:Submit false, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content.
Submit events or content that promote, facilitate, or depict illegal activity, including the sale or use of illegal drugs or controlled substances, illegal weapons, or other unlawful goods or services.
Submit content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
Submit spam, scams, or events you do not have the right or authorization to list.
Scrape, harvest, copy, or redistribute our listings or data without permission.
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
All user-submitted events are reviewed before they appear, and we may decline, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion. We reserve the right to remove content and restrict access for anyone who violates these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, features, and original content — belongs to Ritzy Ventures LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. Event information may belong to its respective sources. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial event discovery, but not to build a competing product or dataset.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that event information will be correct.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ritzy Ventures LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service or from any event you discover through it — including events that are cancelled, changed, oversold, or misdescribed by their organizers. Your use of the Service and your attendance at any event is at your own risk.

11. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes relating to the Service or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York
